Our History

The Italcaffè brand was created in 1969 when Ennio Poli decided to transform his little artisanal coffee roastery into an industrial facility.  His aim was to bring the best coffees from the World to his land and transform them, with passion and experience, into fine coffee blends. Ennio, today, makes way for his sons, who have been supporting him in the management of the company for very long time.

Where are we?

«Cinque Terre, Golfo dei Poeti, Tigullio, Lunigiana, Apuane e Versilia. Since 1969, we have brought the best coffee from our beautiful land to across the World».

These territories are widely known across the World as they are among the most visited places in Italy. Our aim is to be recognized not only for the Italian provenance (Ital-caffè), but specifically for the belonging to our wonderful territory.

And now our motto is: From Local to Global!

We roast

Our industrial coffee roasters and the storage equipment represent the state-of-the-art of industrial machinery for coffee production. They are designed, produced and installed by SCOLARI ENGINEERING SpA.

The production capacity of our factory amounts to 1.415.000 kgs per year, which corresponds to about 670 kgs per hour.

Just-in-time production ensures the highest coffee freshness for all our customers.

We pack

Thanks to our advanced equipment, we pack our coffee in a protective atmosphere (Nitrogen), with the addition of a unidirectional valve for the gas emission.

The oxygen, which is responsible for a fast degradation of food products, remains at 0,5% inside the package.

Consequently, the coffee stays as fresh as just roasted for the whole duration of the shelf life (24 months), making our products perfect for faraway countries too.
